You directly provide Thematic Trails with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

Place an order for any of our publications.
Provide feedback via email, by letter or by telephone conversations.

Newspapers and published reviews relating to specific trails published or individuals mentioned in travel books.

How will we use your data?

Thematic Trails collects your data so that we can:

Process your order, manage your account
Email you with special offers on other products and services we think you might like
Adjust our website to better our presentation of material to better focus on our market.
After consultation and approval from our customer, we may pass information on to other trusts or charities who have similar market niches and aims and objectives. This only happens if it is likely that the customer will benefit from the contact. This information transfer does not happen regularly

When Thematic Trails processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

Thematic Trails securely stores your data at 7 Norwood Avenue, Kingston Bagpuize, Oxon OX13 5AD Thematic Trails will keep your date of order, return address and date of payment on a secure computer and also a paper bank record in a locked hidden space not close to the computer. Since many of our customers, over time, place subsequent orders we have not a specific destruction policy to date, but would destroy any record at your request.

Thematic Trails would like, on occasion, to send you information about our catalogue that we think you might like. We are an individual educational charity (registered charity 801188) and we have no partner companies but if you would prefer not to receive product information from us please let us know and we will register that information. You have the right at any time to stop Thematic Trails from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of Thematic Trails.
